Sarah Steenhoek
Sarah Steenhoek's organizational and interpersonal skills make her an effective advocate, negotiator, and litigator. She is completely committed to defending employees' workplace rights. Sarah represents employees mostly in individual cases, but also has experience advocating for clients in class and collective action cases. Sarah assists clients with claims of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. Sarah joined NKA in January of 2008, initially working as a law clerk. Prior to joining NKA, Sarah worked as a law clerk for Legal Aid Society's Housing Discrimination Law Project.
While in law school, Sarah was active in moot court, the Minnesota Justice Foundation, and volunteer work. Sarah and her partner won her school's Rosalie E. Wahl Moot Court Competition and Sarah was then selected to participate in the New York City Bar National Moot Court Competition where her team finished as a finalist in the regional round of the competition. Sarah was also on the board of her school's Minnesota Justice Foundation student chapter from 2007 to 2009.
Prior to law school, Sarah worked as a social worker for an early childhood education non-profit organization.
