Indiana Court Conditionally Certifies a Collective Action Lawsuit Against Author Solutions, Inc., et al.

On June 1, 2010, Judge J. McKinney of the U.S. Southern District of Indiana ordered conditional certification of a proposed class of current and former sales consultants who work(ed) for Author Solutions, Inc. and its respective subsidiaries during the last three years. The Court issued the order shortly after the parties stipulated to conditional certification and an agreed upon judicial notice. Notice of the lawsuit will soon be disbursed to all potentially eligible individuals, explaining how to participate. Eligible persons will have sixty (60) days from the date the letters are sent to join the lawsuit. For the next few months, our clerk will be contacting class members to learn more about their experiences working for Author Solutions.
